Come to Me, and I will give you REST

"Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. And all these things shall be added unto you..."

It's been 2 weeks since the last time I went to church.

I remember that last Sunday...fully-loaded with information and to do's in the board exam, the upcoming mock board exam, pressures in my environment both career and personal. I don't have a job, family income's not that enough. I felt useless at some point...I felt restless.

But what totally amazes me is that I don't worry about it too much. Yes, I worry about everything under the sun happening in my life but I don't stress myself to the point that it makes me anxious, depressed. I drop negative issues as soon as I can and say, "It's up to You Lord!" with a sense of faith and optimism.

And though actions are needed for blessings to take place and I know I've a lot of shortcomings, God NEVER did fail me. Those hell-days of pressure, exams and everything, He gave me strength, courage and wisdom to endure...He gave me rest. Then followed BLESSINGS I don't deserve. HALLELUJAH! GOD IS GOOD!

Now, I feel so weak, so incomplete. 2 Sundays passed me by in a swift. And now with all the things happening in my life, I feel unarmed for battle. Vulnerability at its peak. But you know what, I'm still getting through everyday. Because of His grace I'm still here
. This just proves how good He is. He really won't leave you nor forsake you...if you just BELIEVE and pray. KEEP THAT FAITH!

I CAN'T WAIT FOR SUNDAY TO COME! SO EXCITED FOR CHURCH! :)

What A Disappointment!!!

I was excited all week, waiting for Wednesday (taking of Graduation pictures). I was preparing for it over the weekends, and when I realized I've nothing to wear for the event, I had my mom buy me something new, something fresh, something worth it for SOMETHING THAT'S FOR A LIFETIME!

I did get to buy that "something", although it wasn't what I really wanted. I wanted something that has a bit of edge on it, but I stick to the business attire, decent look.

And here comes the BIG day. We were all excited and goofy early morning talking about what we will wear, how should we smile, how should we project for the camera, how to do a tie (we were even having a tie tutorial during class), etc. We skipped class just to prepare for it!

We had to share the scheduled day shoot with another course. Students were given numbers for the line up. Then we were told THE PHOTOGRAPHERS WERE LATE. I already had a negative vibe rushing, considering the number of students to be accommodated and the Stone Age system we have in school.

And then, yes, the day had been full of negative vibes!

Students we're all prepped up early in the morning. The photographers started operating at past 9 a.m.. At 10 a.m., just 6 students we're done. 160+ students lining up for the shoot. The facility wasn't air-conditioned. It was scorching hot outside.

Make-ups fading, curls straightening up, clothes were wet with sweat and all. The LATE PHOTOGRAPHERS even had the guts to take their break, while students were lined up famished and exhausted. WHAT THE!??

I was numbered 79. By almost 3 p.m., they were still unable to finish half of my number!!!

6 p.m. Students 66-70 are lined up. The schedule is until 8 p.m!

We were all flushed, messed and f**ked up...agitated and exasperated thinking that the photographers wouldn't even bother finish shooting all the students.

Truth be told, they didn't...they didn't finish the shoot! 30 student were left hanging and waiting (mostly guys). They prioritized the girls saying they put much effort for the shoot, for the hair and make-up. But then, the guys also prepared for that day. Some went to the salon and had their hairs fixed, paying a grand. What about them???

Worst is, they DIDN'T PUT EFFORT IN SHOOTING US! They were such in a hurry, that pictures of the students were poorly shot, organized.

I AM A VICTIM OF THIS! My graduation photo is not something to be proud of!! It's pure crap!!!!

You're Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone

I got Pitch Perfect hangover and I really wanted to do a cover of this one, plus I wanted to perfect the cup (though I didn't use a cup...it's a bottle of powder). This is my first try, I'm hoping for a more polished one soon ( my dad's really very distracting in this video). HAHA

You're gonna miss me by my hair, you're gonna miss me everywhere
You're gonna miss me by my walk, you're gonna miss me by my talk, oh
YOU'RE GONNA MISS ME WHEN I'M GONE

I hope you enjoy :)

What Do You Eat? :D

People often say, "You are what you eat.". My say? Not really. Well, not all the time.

It doesn't mean you're bitter if you ate something bitter. Eating spicy food doesn't make you HOT...but it does make you feel hot. HAHA :)

And sweets...it doesn't mean you're sweet or in love or in a good mood when you eat something sweet. Sometimes, when you're having your all-time-low, you could just grab anything sugar that melts in the mouth and you'll feel that instant relief from whatever tough you're going through (works for me all the time! pretty obvious...ehem, body) HAHA

Is it just coincidence that stressed spelled backwards is desserts? COMFORT FOOD. :) <3 I say yes to that!

Uncertain...but I still dare to try :)

"Pristine and secluded, the beach of Anawangin Cove is fast becoming a popular ourist destination near the Subic, Zambales area. Surrounded by pine trees and carpeted by volcanic white sand from Mt. Pinatubo's eruption, Anawangin cove looks like a winter scene in the tropics. The sands are very fine and the beach is wide. During low tide, the beachfront becomes longer and the waters are calm, making it ideal for swimming. It's Boracay meets Baguio experience."

I have been dying to visit the place since the day I saw it in a photo. I'm a sucker for adventures and nature, so when I knew about what the place has to offer, I immediately planned a trip with my cousins (with a very short 5-day preparation). We were all knick knacks talking about what would and could happen there, too excited for everything and all that.

Unfortunately, the trip didn't happen. All because of the old folks' reasons of accidents and beliefs of supernatural creatures that, they say, might lure us to the lost portions of the place. Damn! Talk about bad vibes! Why would they even think negatively in the first place?

ACCIDENTS CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE. If it is your time to go, you'll go then. You can't defy what's meant to happen. Even more, you can't lock yourself in a room believing you can avoid accidents from taking place. IT CAN HAPPEN ANYTIME, ANYWHERE.

I'd rather go out there, explore, discover and eventually...die adventurously. HAHA

My dream of exploring the secrets of Anawangin became just a dream, just a written desire in my diary. I stopped thinking about it for a moment. But from time to time, I picture myself spending a day or two doing nothing but relax, explore and be awed with the experience.

I'll soon be graduating from college this March 2013, and for my last tour, I want it to be in Anawangin. There's another belief that Filipino's have been accustomed to - graduating students are more prone to accidents. Hmmm..

I don't know if this is true but even if it is or is not, I would still push this trip. I don't know, there's something about this place that entices me too much, I just have to go.....:)
